Plagued kicks-off Glasgow-wide schools competition

BHP Comics have just announced a Glasgow-wide competition, in association with Glasgow libraries and schools, asking pupils to create their own character for the upcoming second volume of my hit comic series, Plagued: The Miranda Chronicles.

Pupils from primary six to the 2nd year of high school are being invited to create a character to fit into the award-winning series, writing their back story and designing how they look. The winning design will be featured in volume two of the series.

Oh, and if that’s not enough, the winner will also earn themselves ten copies of the book, a certificate and a BHP Comics bundle, while their school will be gifted a two-hour comic book making workshop.

I'll be on a judging panel alongside co-creator, Tanya Roberts; legendary comic artist, Frank Quitely; Glasgow school libraries principal librarian, Anne Louise Anglim; and University of Glasgow’s Professor, Laurence Grove.

The winner is set to be announced on Halloween this year.
