Plagued catches two SICBA Awards at Glasgow Comic Con

I’m thrilled to announce that Plagued: The Miranda Chronicles has won two Scottish Independent Comic Book Alliance (SICBA) Awards, including Best Comic, with artist Tanya Roberts also picking up Best Artist.

The award ceremony was held after Glasgow Comic Con on the 4th of July at the CCA in Glasgow, which hosted numerous comic creators throughout the UK.

The SICBAs first launched 5 years ago to recognise excellence in the Scottish book comic industry. There has been a host of Scottish talent that have won over the years, including the creators of Dungeon Fun, Colin Bell and Neil Slorance, who swept up an impressive 5 awards last year.

I also came in as the runner up for the Best Writer category, behind the extremely talented team of Emma Beeby and Gordon Rennie for their book Robbie Burns: Vampire Hunter.

Winning such prestigious awards was the highlight to an already fantastic convention experience. I’d like to thank the BHP team, my creative partner Tanya Roberts for her amazing artwork and to everyone who voted and visited our table at the convention.
